Positive Mind
Hello thank you for taking the time to stop by and read my first post. My name is Chrissy and usually Andrew writes up a post for our readers. I thought some of our readers might like something from me.
Many of you that know me I am one of the hosts on SN Radio. If you have watched one of our shows you would of seen me host the show in a bikini.
Not just any bikinis mostly wicked weasel bikinis, they are one of my favorites. I must admit it seems to sound like a problem when it comes to bikinis but its an addiction.
My collection of bikinis is constantly growing but I guess some ladies love handbags or shoes. In my case its just bikinis I have always loved bikinis since being a teenager now to a mum.
I am now a mum in my mid 40s with 3 beautiful children, their ages ranging from 17 years down to 10 years of age. I have not always felt comfortable wearing a bikini, especially since having my children.
There have been many times I have had second thoughts when putting a bikini on.
Is This Okay.
I’m sure many other mothers out there have also questioned themselves should I wear a bikini or not. Being a mum now is it right or okay for me to wear a bikini, what would people think if I do.
The question is does this make me look fat, is a tan something that needs to be done or maybe I’m to old. All of these questions still pop in my head even now and still not sure if it will ever stop.
You just need to remember do whatever makes you happy and most comfortable. It is your life no one else has the right to make you second guess your choices or paths that you wish to take. Do what makes you happy, what makes you feel good and positive.
Whether you are wearing a bikini or even just a one piece, maybe you are happy with shorts and a shirt its what you feel comfortable in.
Body Image.
Body image is a real struggle for lots of people especially for us women its sad because we are not young forever. For those that have had children or maybe other health issues none of us are perfect.
Today with many of us online trolls are out there they don’t like to make people feel good about themselves. Instead they like to put people down and bring you down to their level.
You are strong ignore these people they will suck out all your energy and give you a low self esteem.
Since having children many women feel they don’t look perfect anymore myself included. It maybe because they have put on a little weight since having children. Or getting stretch marks (I call them battle scares ) but I’m sure you heard that saying also.
Hell yes I have them to and no I don’t like them at all, now you just learn to except them. I find them embarrassing, you just except they are not going to go away and move on.
I for one don’t like looking at myself in the mirror and I don’t think that will ever change.
Take Control.
Its amazing and congratulations to the ladies out there that have taken control after having children and changed there bodies. You see these women and it’s like they have never had children at all, that takes lots of determination.
I applaud them for their dedication because we all know it’s not easy to do. They work damn hard for there new bodies to fit into a new routine around work not to mention being a parent.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a 6 pack or if you just want to slim down. Recently in the last year or two I decided to go on the weight loss journey. What surprised me not long ago had a friend come over, they asked who I was because they didn’t recognize me anymore.
Positive Thinking.
When some says they didn’t think it was you because you look like a teenager now is a good feeling. If I can do it you can do it, you have got all the girl power you need believing in yourself and determination.
Commitment and consistently go along way but most importantly think and stay positive. Don’t worry what other people say or think of you, just do what makes you happy.
Love the skin you are in and good luck to all you ladies out there.
Thank you.
